WHO Measles Aerosol Project:

Primary Objective : To determine the safety of aerosol administration of live Edmonston Zagreb attenuated measles vaccine given to healthy volunteers.

Secondary Objective : To measure the serum plaque reduction neutralization titers before and after aerosol administration of live attenuated measles vaccine given to healthy volunteers.

HIV STIGMA:

Adapt the berger HIV stigma scale and the Major Depression Inventory (MDI) to the Indian context and validate these scales among 50 HIV positive individuals ages 18-49.

Assess the relationship between dimensions of stigma and depression and care seeking behaviors in a sample of 200 HIV positive Indian individuals, ages 18-49 years.

Identify stigma associated barriers to seeking care, social support, adherence and status disclosure to inform the design of an intervension to improve coping with HIV related stigma, using in depth interviews and focus groups among 20 HIV positive persons.
